Multicolor Jardine Birds

This work explores the idea of home as something unstable—built from fragments, remembered spaces, and shifting feelings. I approached the canvas like a site of reconstruction, layering textures that behave like old walls, erased lines, and unfinished blueprints.

The process involved building and breaking the image repeatedly. Some areas are dense and grounded, while others dissolve into lighter gestural fields. This push and pull reflects how memory operates: certain details sharpen, others blur, and the overall shape changes over time.

Rather than portraying a specific interior, the painting holds a psychological one. It is meant as a quiet architecture of emotion—where the viewer can sense familiarity without needing a clear reference to identify it.
